Riri Zippers
IAS is the USA distributor of Riri Group products to the leather goods & accessory industry.
Based in Switzerland, Riri is one of the oldest and most widely recognized manufacturers of zippers in the world. Since it’s founding in 1936, the Riri name has become synonymous with quality and precision, while adding value and distinction. Riri is known for creating a process where they polish each tooth for smoothness and then electroplate their zippers in many different finishes and colors.
In 2007, the Riri Group was created by the merging of three companies: Riri, Meras, and Cobrax. Riri and Meras focus on zippers while Cobrax specializes in high-end snaps and buttons.

COBRAX
Founded in 1977, Cobrax provides the option of customizing their products.
Cobrax makes a variety of snaps such as:
- Jeans Buttons
- Press Buttons
- Rivets
- “Tra-In” Buttons – patented system giving easy opening and closure of garments
MERAS
In 2009, the production plant was renovated and moved to Tirano (Sondrio-Italy), enlarging the Riri plant.
Meras provides nylon and non-polished metal zippers:
- Nylon: Coil zipper
- Classic: non-polished metal zipper
- Meras is able to customize your zipper.
